NOFX

From their earliest beginnings, NOFX became known as one of the funniest bands around. Their lyrics have amused punk rockers at the cost of stirring up controversy...like "Murder the Government" - I wanna tar and lynch the KKK - I wanna pull and shoot the NRA - I wanna pay the lobbyists to kill themselves - I wanna dose the DEA - I wanna join the CIA (not really).

19 records, and a career spanning over 25 years, the Rolling NOFXers keep churning 'em out like buttuh. Arguably their third best album yet, "So Long..." shows a more focused NOFX than their last record, "Heavy Petting Zoo". That's not to say that it doesn't contain the diversity that helped NOFX define themselves, this one just leans back toward their hardcore roots. Songs like "Punk Rock Elite", "Kids of the K-Hole" and "The Desperations Gone" are primo examples of their real flair for combining speed, intensity and melody, while songs like "All Outta Angst" and "180 Degrees" show off their wannabe ska talents.
